History
St Francis Veterinary Hospital opened our doors in the late 90’s to provide the highest level of veterinary medicine for our clients, and outstanding care for our patients. Dr Simon Rigby joined the St Francis family in 2003 upon his return from practice in the UK. Dr Simon became a senior partner and owner in 2006. Dr Leigh-Anne Ehmke joined the St Francis family as a veterinarian in 2019 and became a Junior Partner to Dr Simon Rigby in March 2022.
It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet.
Our practice is named after The St Francis of Assisi the patron saint of animals and the environment. We strive on practising according to the same attributes of this Saint. Our hospital aims to create a calm, welcoming environment where it is our healthcare team’s responsibility that your pet’s needs are met.
Philosophy
Our philosophy is quite simple: to provide the very best personal service to you and your pets. We place a strong emphasis on communication because as pet owners ourselves, we understand the importance of honesty and sensitivity when dealing with the much-loved members of our families. Every pet is unique and deserves our individual attention and compassionate care, whatever the problem.
